The challenge: Long-standing community center in West Bloomfield, MI in need of unified, consistent branding. Community lacked understanding that certain programs were put on by The J, had outdated notions of what The J does for the community, no clear system of logos and brand architecture.
The solution: Connect the brand to the programs it offers of the community. Strengthen logo architecture. Utilize color, recognizable square shape to unify the brand. The new logo honors The J's historically integral part of the community while looking toward its future.
New logo maintains the recognizable structure of the old J logo, but refreshed. The color palette of periwinkle and oranges complement the traditional dark blue, and gesture towards a modern direction.
Below is a mockup of the branding as well as the style guide summating my work on this large-scale rebrand project.
